Our story
Fijian Hardwoods was built on a simple conviction: the timber trade is changing, and the future belongs to suppliers who can prove where their wood comes from. Buyers across the UK, Europe and beyond increasingly have to — by policy or by law — and too few suppliers can give them that certainty.
We set out to be the exception for Fijian hardwood. Today we are a UK specialist in plantation-grown Fijian mahogany — and a trusted source for Fijian sandalwood, Caribbean pine and plantation teak alongside it.
We specialise in plantation-grown Honduran mahogany (Swietenia macrophylla) from Fiji, grown on land leased from Indigenous iTaukei landowners and managed to recognised standards of forest stewardship. Every board is fully supported by CITES documentation, giving confidence in both legality and provenance. Managed to FSC qualifying standards with formal certification currently in progress, our commitment to sustainable forestry, traceability and responsible management remains central to everything we do.
